In-house coating
Prodma has its own coating workshop for both pre-treatment and powder coating as part of our manufacturing process.
We have extensive experience, expertise, and equipment for industrial powder coating. The facility at our factory in Mariestad is unique, and we are currently able to handle advanced coating assignments.
Pre-treatment and coating
Proper pre-treatment is a prerequisite for a successful result. The pre-treatment consists of multi-stage degreasing and nano-ceramic surface conversion for first-class adhesion.
Powder coating is carried out using tribo and electrostatic application. Prodma offers coating with robotised spray guns, and our specialty is thin-film coating, from 30 μm.
Cleaning with a pyrolysis oven
Our facility has its own pyrolysis oven which, at approximately +500°C, burns off paint and any dirt from the parts to be cleaned.
Examples of products for which this method is used include hangers used to suspend parts throughout the entire coating process. From time to time, the paint needs to be removed from these, and using the pyrolysis oven is an effective method.
This is one of several examples where this cleaning method can be used.
